The picture left shows one of the principal bedrooms before extensive renovation.
The room was covered in cheap, badly applied gypsum plaster. Decoration was wood chip paper and white emulsion paint.
The finished room with the exposed timber framing and lime plastered walls is softer and much more in keeping with this magnificent timber home
